ReplyDeleteI think that the film is bored because all is foreseeable, If the film would have had enemies it had been more entretaining.
I watch in Passager some refers to other films like the pub of the spacecraft its similar to the film The Shining.

DeleteI thought the movie was very good. It has parts of science fiction and other very romantic. It is very beautiful because it speaks of what the protagonists do to be together even if it costs them to be both alone for the rest of their life in a spaceship
ReplyDeleteThe movie is very good for me. It is true that before I saw her I was told that the film was very boring but in my opinion the movie is fantastic. Made me very sad when the protagonist woke up just before time and took a year just talking to a robot, Arthur. People will disagree that Jim woke up Aurora but I believe that his love for her and her loneliness caused to go crazy but I understand, to live a life alone and knowing that the girl you love will not even known the he, because when She wake up he will be dead although it is true that it was an act of selfishness of him to steal his life.And science fiction was the best. I recommend this movie.

This film has something that makes it outstanding nowadays: the special effects and the history. The Avalon, the space, the backgrounds and the gravity 0 effects were pretty realistic. Apart from this, the director tell us a simple history made of dialogues of two people and monologues too (I think this is so difficult).
ReplyDeleteI felt the craziest moments of the protagonist during the year without Aurora. If I were Jim, I woke her up too because we can't live alone, we need society to survive. Actually, the end of the film wasn't what I was waiting but it was so beautiful.
The film was good, but not excellent. I love the argument, but The film has a lot oficina fails like; The love of my life is dying, I will press all this butoms!.

Foro The rest of the film, ir has been entertaining.
I think it's a great movie. I am delighted, because after everything that happens, they can be together.
ReplyDeleteThe scenes that have caught my attention have been those of the two together in space and especially the final scene after everyone woke up.
In my opinión, the film wasn´t very good. I don´t really like it but it was entertaining.
ReplyDeleteIt has many amazing special effects like weightless or colisions with space rocks.
Also,for me, the best scenes was the part where appears some water sphere and Aurora (Jennifer Lawrence) were inside of one.

Honestly I didnt enjoy the film at all, I mean I was waiting for more action and less love, in my opinion I think Its very romantic for a science fiction film, also the film is very slow ,like most of the time we can see Aurora and Jim having fun ,being in love, and that's boring, and one more negative thing ,I think its a little bit fake, I know its a science fiction film but how a person is able to survive five minutes under the water .
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I like its the end which was not the tipical ending of a basic film because they cant get sleep again and thats not a happy ending at all.

ReplyDeleteI think that the film has a nice idea but It seems to me that they haven’t got enough of it. I love Jennifer Lawrence as an actress but I think she should improve her anguish scenes. Nevertheless, it seems to me that Chris Pratt has acted great in this film, although I repeat, if there had been a better director, I think he would have taken much more to the cast.
Something that I loved about the film, are the special effects, the most, the zero gravity in the pool, when aurora is inside the water bubble… fascinating, although there is no need to detract from merit to space, explosions and implosions of the end. I also found the barman's idea very interesting, like my classmate Joaquin said is a reference to The shining.
I have also liked the places where they are, the pool overlooking the space and the observatory. Simply perfect.
It seems to me that the film has some mistakes, like for example to spend so much time without oxygen and magically that your beloved press so many buttons without having no idea of what it does and Jim relives.
In conclusion is a movie with a good argument but I think that they haven’t got enough of it. Apart is very predictable and that in a movie doesn’t usually like anyone. The only thing that would save the film would be the space in which it rolls and its special effects, which are improvable but still are great. Since I've seen interstellar, no movie about space is going to work better than that, at least for now.

DeleteI don't like too much sci-fi movies but this was different because of the reflections about loneliness and isolation which contributed a philosophical point of view.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion Jennifer Lawrence's acting was very realistic.
I didn't understand why did you choose a romantic film when we said we don't like them at all hahaha; however, i like it because the relationship between Aurora and Jim wasn't a typical love relationship because of the original situation, even though it reminds to Titanic with phrases like "do you trust me?"

You made a point there. Romance in space is a different kind of love, ha, ha, ha. Now that you mention it, it does have a "Titanic" taste ( a wrecking ship, two people about to die...) With a different turn out, of course.
DeleteAt first, I don't usually like science fiction films and this film isn't a exception. I think that (for me) the film was boring, I almost slept while I was seeing It. Although I usually like romantic stories, this story was stupid without sense in my opinion. I think that the film was bad but that is because I don't like the type of film, this film would like to anyone who loves science fiction. (I must to say that I don't like Jennifer Lawrence since "The Hunger Games")

I think that it's an allegory to the guilty feelings, I like how Jim torment himself bacause of his decision. And that decision have consecuences.
ReplyDeleteI don't like the final, because i think it would have been better if he had died, he mustn't stay alife after take the life of a person, only for himself.
I like too much the especial effects.
I'm with you here. I would have made , at least one of the characters, die.
DeletePersonally it's not a movie I'd see twice. I don´t like the plot especially because of what the protagonist does, it seems to me an act of pure selfishness. On the other hand, leaving aside the plot, special effects have enchanted me. I like the scene of zero gravity but the others not in special.Or maybe I was wrong and the one I liked the most was one at the end, where all the vegetation is seen.

ReplyDeleteI think that is a good film of science fiction, but in my opinion the film has many gaps. There are elements that do not fit exactly to make the story credible but the film is visually excellent and have very good performances.The performance of Chris Pratt is perfect but I liked more the role that played Jennifer Lawrence.
ReplyDeleteI have lots of mixed feelings about this movie. On the one I thought it was a great idea to combine romance with sci-fi cause its not something we usually see as the main genres so it was interesting so see how they developed it. The actors were both good (Im a big J.Law fan)and i also liked the easthetic of the film.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, from my point of view the ending was very predictable and sad, let me explain this, I know they both ended together but still they were fated to be alone for the rest of their lives with no more company tan each other and Arthur, as well as thinking that they wouldnt be able to achieve their goals.
As I see it, its not a film that i would watch over and over but its still worth seeing it on a free Sunday.
On the one hand, I think that is a good film, i like the special effects and the actors, Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence, are the greatest actors for this film.

But the film are good.
I found it quite boring, you're left wanting more. In my opinion it's a movie to see only once. But not everything is bad, special effects are well achieved.
