LISTENING COMPREHENSION AND WRITING ASSIGNMENT 2A - 30th March

Good morning dear 2A students!

How are you today? Ready for some composition day? Here is a little video by Tom from Eat, Sleep, Learn, giving us some advice about how to turn this negative situation into something positive.
This is what we are going to do:
1) FIRST, watch the video and answer QUESTION #1 and 4 more questions of your choice. This is a listening comprehension/vocabulary  exercise to be done  TODAY Monday 30th.
The video lasts 11:30 minutes, make sure you can follow the video without being interrupted.
To do that read the questions first and be ready to take notes. You can stop the video or re-play it as often as you need. Do not use subtitles, if you can avoid them.

1.What are the 11 recommendations that he gives?
2. What is the speaker's recommendation to avoid the noise? Summarize your answer.
3. According to research, what effects does the phone has on you it is at sight?
4. What is his recommendation about exercise?
5. What is recommendation #5?
6. Why is number 6 especially advantageous?
7. What is a study buddy?
8. What is the meaning of losing momentum?
9. What two Tv series does he recommend to learn English?
10. What learning platform to learn English does he recommends?

2) SECOND. Write a composition of about 120 words on the following topic.

"HOW TO STUDY AT HOME DURING THE QUARANTINE PERIOD". Use the previous video as inspiration and try to give some advice and /or explain your own situation. Remember to use topic-related vocabulary, a variety of different grammar structures and appropriate linkers. Give your text a structure. Compositions will be sent to arantxaealo@gmail.com. The deadline for the composition is  Monday April 6th.

I hope you like the material and make the most of it.
