Well, this is the last assignment for you before the marking period is over . I've decided to offer you an error correction exercise to review different common mistakes. There are 15 sentences to be read and corrected. Remember there are two mistakes in every example . Do not forget to rewrite those sentences ( the exercise does not consist of adding a word or crossing out an "s" on the existing sentence, but writing a correct full one.
As for correction standards and punctuation, every fully corrected sentence is marked 0.5, In case you just identify and correct one of the two mistakes , 0.25 will be marked.
1. Send your error correction exercises to arantxaealo@gmail.com
2. Leave a comment on the blog indicating what in your opinion is your Achilles Heel in English ( a grammar point, spelling, a particular type of exercise...) I am preparing further PEvAU practice to keep on offering you ESL materials and I would appreciate this information.
DEADLINE: exercises will be accepted until 23:59 of tonight.
I will continue posting PEvAU exams , suggestions , practice and language tips on the blog. I would suggest that you "stay tuned".
It has been my pleasure to teach you an it's a shame you have to end your senior year like this. I hope you have improved your English and I wish you all the best in your future endeavours ( PEvAU or not ).
As you already know we have a new type of "PEvAU" test . The calling for 2020 exam includes several changes that you can check on this blog on the PAGES SECTION.

They are really useful in written communication because they include information without making long or complicated sentences. When we talk about PRESENT PARTICIPLES WE REFER TO= -ING FORM When we talk about PAST PARTICIPLES WE REFER TO= -ED FORM / 3rd. COLUMN IRR VERB.

How are you today? We are already in the middle of the week, doesn't time fly? Here are a little listening comprehension and vocabulary exercise for both groups ( A and B). You are going to listen to a radio program "News Review" ( you are going to watch a video on a radio program). In this show, while talking about physical exercise, they highlight and explain the use of three words/expressions.
Here it is what you have to do:
INSTRUCTIONS:
After listening to the radio program, take note of the three keywords they are trying to explain. Make sure you understand their use, the context of the application, possible antonyms, what they should be followed by...You can watch the video as many times as you need. There are no subtitles for it. There is also a phrasal verb used at the end of the video. Write it down too.
Use every word ( the four of them) in a different sentence that relates to you, or the moment you are living. Make sure the sentence clarifies the meaning of the keyword you are using.
Post a comment on the blog with your four sentences by today. Did you know about them before?
Here is an interesting film review about Marvel's latest release. Have you already watched it? are you a Marvel fan? I'm gonna pick up the pieces
And build a Lego house
When things go wrong we can knock it down
My three words have two meanings
There's one thing on my mind, it's all for you
And it's dark in a cold December, but I've got ya to keep me warm
And if you're broken I'll mend ya
And keep you sheltered from the storm that's raging on now
I'm out of touch, I'm out of love
I'll pick you up when you're getting down
And out of all these things I've done I think I love you better now
I'm out of sight, I'm out of mind I'll do it all for you in time And out of all these things I've done I think I love you better now
I'm gonna paint you by numbers and color you in
If things go right we can frame it, and put you on a wall
And it's so hard to say it but I've been here before
And I'll surrender up my heart and swap it for yours
I'm out of touch, I'm out of love
I'll pick you up when you're getting down
And out of all these things I've done I think I love you better now
I'm out of sight, I'm out of mind, I'll do it all for you in time
And out of all these things I've done I think I love you better now
Don't hold me down
I think my braces are breaking and it's more than I can take
And if it's dark in a cold December, but I've got ya to keep me warm
And if you're broken I'll mend ya
And keep you sheltered from the storm that's raging on now
I'm out of touch, I'm out of love
I'll pick you up when you're getting down
And out of all these things I've done I think I love you better now
I'm out of sight, I'm out of mind
I'll do it all for you in time
And out of all these things I've done I think I love you better now
I'm out of touch, I'm out of love
I'll pick you up when you're getting down
And out of all these things I've done, I'll love you better now
